FACT’s 2022 Annual Impact Report
By Harry Rhodes, Executive Director
We are pleased to share with you FACT’s 2022 Annual Impact Report, which you are invited to peruse at your leisure. 2022 was another successful and impactful year at FACT. It was also our 40th Anniversary, which was a significant milestone for our unique organization that has had a huge impact on the food system. We have had many important achievements and continue to lead the movement for the humane and healthy production of food-producing animals.
This report highlights:
The many ways that our expanding Humane Farming Program supported more farms than ever through grants, scholarships, webinars, and mentorships. Our network of humane farmers nationwide has grown from 4,500 in 2019 to more than 11,100 this past year.
Our Safe and Healthy Food Program continued to work diligently with partners to reduce the overuse of antibiotics in animals raised for food, and to advocate for a safer and healthier food system.
This work is helping us achieve our Vision that all food producing animals will be raised in a humane and healthy manner, and everyone will have access to safe and humanely-produced food.
Our organization has continued to grow in the last few years to keep up with the demand. We are now six full-time employees and in 2022 welcomed three new Board members. Our budget is double what it was in 2019.
However, none of this growth would be possible without the generous support of our donors. FACT receives no government grants, but instead relies on private contributions to keep our work fully independent.

This generous support which will enable us to continue our growth throughout 2023 to enhance farmers’ hard work, keep animals happy and healthy, and ensure safe food systems for all.
