The Key to Superior Adaptation, Performance and Resilience: Epigenetics
October 8, 2024 3pm ET
There is a hidden sector of genetics that very few are aware of, but affects everything. This hidden sector is called Epigenetics and is defined as "The influence of environmental factors on the degree of expression of gene pairs". Put simply, nothing happens without epigenetics affecting it. Every environmental factor we are exposed to impacts how our genetics express themselves. The same is true for every organism that has DNA - our pets, livestock, plants, crops,... To better understand this, think of a light switch. A regular light switch allows us to turn lights 100% on or 100% off. However, if we add a dimmer to that light switch, we can now turn the lights 20% on, 50% on, 80% on. That is essentially epigenetics and its effect on our gene pairs. We can either build positive compounding effects through intentional epigenetic selection or accumulate negative epigenetic effects through ignoring epigenetics. In this webinar we will explore the intricacies of epigenetics and how to use this to our favor.
