See FACT's Impact in our Newest Video Featuring Terra Vitae Farms in Illinois
By Charlotte Isles, Development Associate
On our blog this week we would like to share with you some of the pressing issues that FACT invests in, both on an individual and a global scale, as well as how you can support our impact.
The first is our newest video which features Mike Biver and his family from Terra Vitae Farms in Woodstock, IL. They received a grant from FACT earlier this year. The farm has the motto 'Better for you, Better for Them, Better for the Earth’. This type of farming encompasses a lot of different aspects. It produces the healthiest food you can get, cares for the animals, and stewards and regenerates the land in the best way possible.
This is at the heart of FACT's mission to provide critical resources to help farmers to adopt humane and regenerative practices. We would love for you to check out the full video below.
With the current climate crisis, this type of farming is also important on a global scale. We believe that sustainably raising animals and growing our food will create an agricultural system that is regenerative and is a partner in combating climate change.
The next generation is counting on us all to create conditions that will lead to a safer and healthier environment. Raising animals on pasture and creating healthy agricultural ecosystems is the way forward towards a more humane, environmentally friendly food system that benefits the farmers, the consumers, and the planet.
However, we could not make a significant impact on our food system without your help. We would like to invite you to support our efforts to ensure that our food is safe, healthy, and raised humanely and that our environment supports the future of our planet by making a donation below or check out the ‘Get Involved’ section of our website for more ways to get involved in our work.
