FACT’s Spring 2025 Highlights

Supporting Farmers and Protecting Public Health

We’re excited to share the latest news from Food Animal Concerns Trust (FACT)! Our Spring Newsletter is now available, and we’re proud to highlight key moments from our work—supporting humane farming and advocating for policies that protect public health. You can read the full Spring Newsletter (PDF) or check out a few of the highlights below.

2025 Fund-a-Farmer Grants Awarded

FACT is thrilled to announce the recipients of our 2025 Fund-a-Farmer grants! This year, 72 farmers across 27 states and Puerto Rico received funding to improve the welfare of their animals. Thanks to support from the ASPCA, Food:Land:Opportunity, and our generous community, these grants are helping make projects like pasture-based hog operations, mobile chicken housing, and enhanced animal care a reality. Since 2012, FACT has awarded 764 grants, benefiting over 1 million animals nationwide! Read more about this year’s funded farms on Page 4 of the FACT Sheets.

Keeping the Most Vulnerable in Mind

At FACT, we’re committed to advocating for those most affected by industrial animal agriculture—including both animals and people. As leaders of the Keep Antibiotics Working (KAW) coalition, we recently published an equity policy that centers those most impacted by antibiotic overuse in agriculture. One of our key efforts is urging the FDA to expand data collection to track the rise of antibiotic-resistant superbugs—ensuring public health policies protect the communities who need it most.
